This version introduces support for
16-byte Temporary Storage Queue (TSQ) names. |

Newer compilers were used to create
the loadmods and phases. For VSE, IBM COBOL FOR VSE/ESA 1.1.1
was used. For OS/390 and z/OS, COBOL for OS/390 & VM 2.1.2 was
used. For backward compatibility, the LE/370 from VSE/ESA 2.3
was used. For OS/390 and z/OS, the LE/370 version from OS/390
2.5 was used.
Note: Your CICS system must include LE runtime support. Your
operating system should be at least as the VSE/ESA 2.3 or OS/390
2.5 release levels. If you do not meet these minimum
requirements, you must run an older release of QSort. |

24-bit loadlib programs are supplied. If 24-bit programs are
required, continue to use release 2.5. |

Changed installation procedure to zap
supplied program SMQSORTC instead of requiring customer to
compile it. This was done to reduce problems with compatibility
levels between COBOL compilers at install time. No other changes
or fixes were applied to the programs. |
